HAIR BALM
LIGHT HOLD
Ingredients
- 40 g Shea Butter
- 20 g Coconut Oil
- 10 g Castor Oil
- 20 g Olive Oil
- 5 g Carrot Seed Oil
- 2 g Vitamin E Oil
- 3 g Rosehip Oil
- 3 g Beeswax
- 4% Essential Oil Dilution
Directions
- Measure out the Shea Butter, coconut Oil and Beeswax and melt
- Measure and combine the soft oils with the melted oils and wax.
- Mix in 10 second intervals while slowly adding in the chosen essential oils for a total of one minute
- Use emulsion/ stick blender in 20 second intervals for a total of one minute
- Place in refrigerator for 1-3 hours (when oil forms a skin on top) or store in a cool dry place overnight.
- Blend the mixture again with this stick blender until it gets a whipped cream like texture.
- Cover and store in a cool dark place, depending on age of oils this should keep up to a year or longer If refrigerated.
- Use as desired massaging into scalp, style as usual.
Notes
If a stronger hold is desired you can add more beeswax
• Essential Oil at a 4% Dillution
• Add 3% Beeswax based on total weight of Recipe
